Tran Thanh Lam

(1949-1997), born in Hué, central Vietnam

During his lifetime, Tran Thanh Lam’s works were exhibited extensively in Vietnam, as well as overseas in Singapore (1992) and Tokyo (1993). His painting Under the Moon garnered First Prize in the H&S exhibition in 1997. The work depicts a man and a woman in equilibrium and harmony, alluding to universal symbols while showing influences of Surrealist composition.
