Ca Le Thang

Ca Le thang graduated from Hanoi College of Fine Arts in 1975. He spent an entire year in Czechoslovakia in 1983. He participated in many exhibitions in his country and outside of Vietnam. He exhibited in Paris, France in 1991, in Singapore, in 1993 and 1995, and in Seoul, Korea, in 1995. In 1996, Ca Le Thang exhibited works respectively at the Fujita Museum in Tokyo, Japan and at the Metropolitan Museum in Manila, The Philippines. Ca Le Thang was Deputy Secretary General of the HCMC Fine Arts Association in 1997.

He likes to incorporate lots of symbols in his paintings. The two paintings he proposed for the H&S contest at the Fine Art Museum in Ho Chi Minh City in 1997 were censored 2 days after the beginning of the exhibition.
