Le than Thu

Born in agricultural family, Le Thanh Thu was cloistered at Quy Nhon Seminary at the age of 12. In 1975, he left Quy Nhon and stepped into life. When he was 17 years old, he started to write poems and they were published in some prestigious literary before 1975. In 1989, he had his first solo exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City.

"My passion led me to arts. When I decided to become an artist and get a living from it, I had to harmonize some important things. With the crazy wishes to tell stories through colors and images. Convey my expressive thinking, as sometimes writing cannot be enough".

In addition to numerous exhibitions in Saigon and Hanoi, the artist exhibited his works in Singapore, in Paris, France and at the Metropolitan Art Museum in Tokyo in 1994 for the 30th Asia Modern Art exhibition. He was also featured in the 31st Asia Modern Art Axhibition at the Ishikawa Museum in Japan in 1995.
